Great Lakes Now has produced a 30 minute special highlighting the PFOS / PFOA chemicals in the area and what Plainfield Township has done to clean up the water. The special can be viewed here. The Federal Superfund Site behind Maybeck Drive and the East Beltline was not included. In the Spring of 2000, the State of Michigan ruled that the Remedial Action Plan to cleanup the waste site was unacceptable and incomplete. An interesting article showing how PFOS may be leaching from that site into the Versluis Park well field can be found here.
The latest Plainfield drinking water test results show 2 ppt of PFAS as of May 14, 2019. The long and detailed report from the Michigan DEQ can be found here.
